Lisa Pennock is a perpetual student of sacred dance. She is forever following her heart, taking herself to the edges of soulful experience, and encouraging others to open their hearts to a more creative life. Dance is her joy and saving grace. Namaste!

Lisa is a certified Yoga Meets Dance TM instructor, Hatha Yoga teacher, fitness intructor, and has completed her ATS General Skills Certification with Carolena Nericcio. She has a rounded experience with teaching to a variety of abilities and encourages those who dance with her to dance from their heart, work within their range of motion, and to let their spirit soar.

While working out at the gym on a treadmill, Lisa was transfixed as her future teacher, Karen Phillips, came bouncing out of the aerobics room after teaching a belly dance class: her hips swinging, coin belt jingling, belly proudly showing, and a smile on her face. Lisa's journey began...

In 2000 her first teacher and friend Karen, opened the gateway to dance. With that assistance and support, Lisa came in 3rd place in the OMEDA Middle Eastern dance competition after only 1 & 1/2 years of dancing. That was the tip of the iceburg.

Passion for dance motivates her research and education. She has been certified in Beth Rigby's Yoga Meets Dance and has her Hatha Yoga teacher training with Jackie Adams of Yoga To Go. Through intensive workshop instruction from other teachers including Morocco, Suzanna Del Vecchio, Nathalie Labele, Hadia, Magdy El-Leisy, Oceanfire, Carolena Nericcio & Megha Gavin, John Compton, & Kami Liddle she has broadened her experience and refined her teaching style. She dedicates her time to dancing, directing, teaching, and perfecting her skills.

If you are interested in having Lisa teach, either for a one time interest or longer, or if you are interested in having Lisa at one of your family friendly parties, please don't hesitate to contact her.
